Rawhide plot

Gil Favor is in charge of a so-called cattle drive, in which a large herd of cows is driven from point A to point B. Favor can always count on his right-hand man, Rowdy Yates, and the other men who work for him are also rarely close. For example, Pete Nolan is a Scout who is usually right when it comes to the paths the herd should take and Wishbone is a cook who is often fooled but highly valued when it comes down to it . Furthermore, the efforts of the cooks assistant Mushy and the floats Jim Quince and Joe Scarlet should not be underestimated. Together, the men manage to defy all problems that appear out of nowhere and they can handle anything and everyone.

Rawhide season 1

Eric Fleming immediately torpedoed himself with this first series to the top list of the best western actors in my opinion.
It's a shame he lived so short.

When Eastwood took over the troll from trailboss after Fleming left the series, the ratings plummeted to such an extent that the series came to an end.
Eastwood still had a lot to learn, and he certainly didn't have the charisma of Fleming at the time.

I am therefore very annoyed by the DVD covers in which Eastwood can be seen prominently, while his role was definitely a smaller one than Fleming's.
From a sales point of view, I get it, because Eastwood made a name for themselves after the series, but it's not fair at all.

I think Sheb Wooley is strong in portraying the character scout Pete Nolan.
