The X-Files plot
The exploits of FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) who investigate X-Files: marginalized, unsolved cases involving paranormal phenomena. Mulder believes in the existence of aliens and the paranormal while Scully, a skeptic, is assigned to make scientific analyses of Mulder's discoveries that debunk Mulder's work and thus return him to mainstream cases. They will both have to confront their respective beliefs and faith as they face down major conspiracies.

The Loch Ness Monster exists. The Yeti and Bigfoot exist. UFO reports are true. There is extraterrestrial life on this planet. This is all kept secret by the government.
If you believe all of the above, you are either a wappie or a conspiracy nut. If it's not all true, it still provides a lot of material for an exciting TV series.
Each episode, Mulder and Scully must uncover a mystery. They look at this in a different way. He believes in phenomena that are difficult to explain; she has a skeptical attitude. Still, they become a close-knit team. The two protagonists do an excellent job: the smartly dressed David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson with the piercing blue eyes.
They deal with UFOs, extraterrestrial life, transmutation and telekinesis. They find information about this in secret FBI files. The boundaries of what is scientifically justified are being challenged. Since Einstein's theory of relativity, time and space have been viewed in a different way. The twin paradox is mentioned in the pilot episode. Technically it is well executed, with a good alternation between dialogue and action. Pace and atmosphere sit well in a series that combines science and fantasy.

Wow, rarely has a series fallen so hard off its pedestal after revision. This just doesn't make sense. Super messy and chaotic, stories that make no head or tail. Dear virtue, this series is really bad.
