Surface plot

Young oceanographer Laura Daughtery (Lake Bell) discovers a gigantic underwater creature. Her obsessive search for the origin of this dangerous, unknown species takes her and a few other people to the dark corners of the ocean, far away from the sun. Unbeknownst to them, the fate of the world is in their hands.

Surface season 1

Intelligent, excitingly developed SF series, about gigantic monsters that suddenly appear in the world's oceans. The tone is sometimes a bit unbalanced and the ambitions of the makers go much further than the budget allows, with variable special effects and a lack of real spectacle. The sympathetic cast and the nice plot lines fortunately make up for a lot. Unfortunately it was to no avail and it ultimately remained with only one season, which of course ends with the inevitable cliffhanger.
