The show follows the journey of a time traveler, Cole, from a post-apocalyptic future. Cole arrives in the present day via a dangerous and untested way of time travel, with the mission to eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually shrink 93.6% of humanity. Will Cole be able to save the fate of humanity, or is the fate of humanity fixed? All of this takes place in the future havoc of 2043 and today.

All in all, a good series. First of all, a strong cast with (well-known and lesser-known) names who know how to convince at all times. The series starts out great with lots of suspense, action and mystery, but takes a dip around episode 8/9 with a series of less interesting episodes. The series eventually picks up again with episode 12: 'Paradox', the penultimate episode.
Nice writing though, because despite the fact that the subject of time rising can quickly cause some confusion, it is generally quite easy to follow. Every now and then it gets a bit vague (especially towards the end of the season), but in general it's not that bad in terms of complex stuff. Might be a bit vague, though, as Cole and the rest of the cast have adventures in 1987, 1988, 1990, 1992, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2033, 2041, and 2043.
