Ransom Canyon is a Texas town where three ranching family dynasties are locked in a battle for control of the land. Their lives and legacies are threatened by outside forces bent on destroying their way of life. At the center of it all is stoic rancher Staten Kirkland, recovering from a heartbreaking loss and seeking revenge. Staten's only glimmer of hope rests in the eyes and heart of Quinn O'Grady, an old family friend and owner of the local dance hall. But as the war rages on, a mysterious cowboy wanders into town, unearthing secrets from the past.
