Manhunt plot
Manhunt follows Jim Fitzgerald, who is at the beginning of a promising career. He is asked to unmask the mysterious Unabomber. Fitzgerald is a new criminal profiler and the newest member of the Unabom Task Force. He faces an uphill battle against the bureaucracy of the UTF as his maverick ideas and new approaches to forensic linguistics are rejected. The mounting tension shows a struggle between a profiler, who loses sight of the reality around him, against a criminal who is trying to expose the reality of society.

Excellent miniseries about the FBI's hunt for the long-time elusive Ted Kaczynski. Excitingly constructed, visually impressive and beautifully played, with Paul Bettany especially great as the complex title character. Sam Worthington, as the driven, autistic profiler who eventually manages to solve the case, is also fine. I like this kind of first-class series.

Great series, not what I expected. Got it after the first episode. Even though you know how certain things will end (perhaps from reality, but anyway via the series itself and the different timelines), the makers know how to create tension. Pretty well done, especially because of the good score/music and the structure of the story, for example about the life of Ted (his childhood and the 'present'). Intriguing guy and convincing acting.
Sure it's dramatized with clichés like the 'clash' between one cop and the bad guy (with the cop obviously having the well-known private problems), but it doesn't disturb, because the series keeps the attention until the end. end. Good.
