Madrid, 1928. The national telephone company opens its headquarters in the center of the city and hundreds of girls queue to get jobs as telephone operators. The telephone company is the only place that represents progress and modernity for women at the time. Four girls, from different backgrounds, start working there as operators. From day one, jealousy, envy and betrayal are mixed with the hunger for success, friendship and love.
