House season 1

Gregory House must almost be one of my favorite TV characters: an unfathomable melancholy with above all a wonderful sense of humor, which of course few people who enter his biotope understand / can appreciate. For that they would have to get to know the mad doctor better, and he won't allow that at all. House is strongly portrayed by Hugh Laurie, a seasoned British actor who had already earned his stripes by then (check his collaborations with Fry or get it Blackadder), and carries the series . Of the other main characters, Wilson, House's best friend and polar opposite, and Foreman, who actually looks more like House than he likes, intrigue me.

The electricity between House and Cuddy is only very superficially present in this first season, in season 1 the focus is mainly on Cameron in that regard. It's no surprise that this is going to fizzle out. House and Cameron never got past a timid date, and in the following episodes, House's ex Stacy popped in, and we got a glimpse of the doctor's history at the last minute.

In this season, the various characters are not really explored yet, and especially the sometimes bizarre cases come to the fore. House's consults in practice often provide an amusing interlude.

I don't know if it's medically correct. I think most people who follow the show have no idea about this and don't really make a point of it. It remains fiction in the first place, and that's how I experience it. I really enjoy House's whims, and that's often enough.

4.5 stars

House season 1

Nice series, House was the last series that I really actively followed on TV and wanted to swallow all the commercial breaks. Besides the good plot and the strong acting, it is also fascinating to see what bizarre conditions there are and how the medical world deals with them. It may sound crazy, but House is a realistic series, and there really aren't any others, they don't take medical facts and details as closely as they do here. More than 4*.

House season 1

Like in many other seasons, just the same song every time that bothers me the most, every time person x is sick, doctors examine him, think once or two that they have a cure, that fails and there you have House on it comes up with a genius solution at the last minute.

Laurie does play quite well, and his boss is sexy as hell but otherwise mediocre.
