Glee plot

The story revolves around a group of young people who, led by their teacher, start a choir at their school. This is the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. The focus is on each of them's flaws and how to overcome the prejudices of their fellow students and some teachers (such as the villainous 'Sue Sylvester', who sees the choir as a threat to its cheerleaders).

Glee season 1

A bit of a slow starter.

Unfortunately, it starts a bit late this first season, otherwise I would have awarded the full score. Up to about half the level is still not very high. There are occasionally good to very good moments, but it seems like they are still trying to find their way. And then it goes completely off from halfway through. The storylines get a lot better. Characters get a little more individuality, characters get a little more screen time and then the songs. Those are great done. Some even have the cover even better than the original.

Then it is also because of the many talent that has been attracted to Glee. Leah Michele is of course head and shoulders above that, but a Corey Monteith is also very good, or a Naya Rivera. The smaller roles are also filled with enormous talent. And also in terms of dance it is well represented with Heather Morris and the rest of the cast is also great. Every once in a while really goosebumps with Amber Riley. Each character is perfectly chosen. Just like the songs and how they fit into the story. This was a very big surprise and discovery for me.
