At the turn of the twentieth century, James Herriot recently graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School. He finds his first job in the quiet Yorkshire Dales in northern England. This heartwarming drama series follows his encounters with the locals and the animals they depend on. He develops from a novice veterinarian to a local icon.
