Great camera work in 4K with spectacular sounds with every preparation.
The series provides a unique insight into the (cooking) culture of China. This cooking culture is one of the most advanced in the world due to the continuous development of specific dishes or ingredients for >5000 years, Chinna has never been colonized and outside influences have been limited. The result is an almost chemical approach to the crystallized dishes. What makes it so unique is that each short episode focuses on 1 specific ingredient or small dish. The home environment where the dishes are prepared offer a nice glimpse into Chinese culture.
