In eerste instantie trok mij dit niet zo, maar nadat een collega van mij, mij bleef aansporen ben ik toch maar gaan kijken... Nog net geen 3 weken later had ik heel de serie gezien. Echt onwijs goed en ik kan gewoon geen minpunten noemen want wat mij betreft zijn die er niet.. Elk seizoen krijgt van mij een dikke 5.

At first this didn't appeal to me, but after a colleague of mine continued to encourage me, I went to watch it anyway... Just less than 3 weeks later I had seen the entire series. Really really good and I just can't name any negatives because as far as I'm concerned there are none .. Every season gets a big 5 from me.

Brute serie over een Outlaw Motorcycle Club The Sons of Anarchy oftewel SAMCRO. Deze groep van Motorfanaten houden zich met allerlei misdadige en duistere zaken bezig zoals wapenhandel, afpersing en geweld. Hoewel ze naar buiten toe een hechte club vormen is het een groot wespennest vol intriges, list en bedrog. De serie was top met al sterkste punt de casting. Ze hebben alle white trash actors gecast die ze maar konden vinden. Deze spelen werkelijk fenomenaal hun kleurrijke karakters. Let vooral op Katey Segal (Peggy Bundy) als Gemma Teller-Morrow, the old lady van the club. Die zich als de Lady McBeth van Sons of Anarchy ontpopt. Deze serie is een van de betere series van het laatste decenium wat mij betreft.

This group of motorcycle enthusiasts are involved in all kinds of criminal and dark matters such as arms trade, extortion and violence. Although they form a close club outwardly, it is a large wasp's nest full of intrigue, cunning and deceit. The series was top notch with the casting as its strongest point. They cast all the white trash actors they could find. These really play their colorful characters phenomenally. Pay special attention to Katey Segal (Peggy Bundy) as Gemma Teller-Morrow, the old lady of the club. Who emerges as the Lady McBeth from Sons of Anarchy. This series is one of the better series of the last decade in my opinion.

Jawadde, het gebeurt me niet eens zo vaak dat ik een lange serie, zoals Sons of Anarchy er toch één is, in een zeer korte tijdspanne volledig uitkeek. Maar bij deze serie is het me toch gelukt. Los van de latere seizoenen die misschien bij momenten zelfs een tikje in stijgende lijn gaan, net iets meer extreme gebeurtenissen al loert het gevaar dat het te veel van hetzelfde wordt, vind ik dit eerste seizoen reeds erg goed. Casting zit inderdaad gewoon super goed, je gelooft meteen dat alle acteurs en actrices echt motor outlaws en halve of hele criminelen zijn. Scenario zit goed in mekaar, neigt soms naar net een tikje te maar wordt het zelden of nooit. Locaties zijn af, tempo zit goed. Muziek (ik meende Katey Segal af en toe zelf te horen zingen?) is meer dan ok, op de matige vaste intro na dan misschien. Reden dat er dan toch geen écht hoge score inzit? Er wordt te vaak geleund op hetzelfde. Zijn ook uitzonderlijk gewoon slechte castings gebeurd, vooral Juice springt eruit en het heeft wel degelijk even geduurd voor ik er echt inzat. Desalniettemin versta ik de lof die deze serie krijgt of gekregen heeft.

Jawadde, it doesn't even happen to me that often that I completely watched a long series, like Sons of Anarchy is one, in a very short span of time. But I managed to do it with this series.

Apart from the later seasons that may even go up a bit at times, slightly more extreme events, although there is a danger that it will become too much of the same, I think this first season is already very good.

Casting is indeed just super good, you immediately believe that all actors and actresses are really motor outlaws and half or full criminals. Scenario is well put together, sometimes tends to be just a bit too much, but rarely if ever. Locations are finished, pace is good. Music (I thought I heard Katey Segal sing from time to time?) is more than ok, except for the mediocre fixed intro.

Why isn't it a really high score? Too often people rely on the same thing. There have also been exceptionally bad castings, especially Juice stands out and it did take a while before I really got into it. Nevertheless, I understand the praise this series is getting or has received.
