Addictive!
That I have seen this season in one day is not very surprising in itself, since as a 30-year-old single man I fall perfectly into the target group, but when you consider that this series is already a few years old, it is striking that I just now got around to it.
Also not very surprising when you consider that there are now 38 episodes and the barrier for entry is therefore slightly higher than with most current series. Nevertheless, I jumped in at the deep end under the motto of "a lot of sex" and "a lot of action". Not a word was lied about that.
The sex and action is not necessarily what makes the series so addictive, because apart from many intriguing storylines (yes, it remains an action series of course), it is mainly the lack of real drama that steals the show here; there is a situation, often illogical, and instead of explaining things we just go bang without asking too many questions.
Of course a little here and there, but the entertainment and action are paramount. Characters are sometimes a bit flat and motives are sometimes a bit crooked, but that shouldn't spoil the fun.
The only reason this first season doesn't score higher than four stars is that it doesn't really go any further, be it suspense, story-wise, or visually.

A "you can't make a lot of planks out of thick wood" crime and action series with lots of revenge and drama elements. That's a very short summary of this well-designed series. The whole thing gets a pretty high score, here and at IMDb, but not 5 stars from me. At a certain point, especially in season 3, it starts to get a bit stale; too much of the same within the same group of characters. You could have continued like this for many more seasons. But on the positive side, the whole thing stops after four seasons and also comes to a manageable conclusion. In any case, a series that I would like to see again in a few years.
