Anger Management plot
Charlie Goodson is a former baseball player who, with the help of his therapist Kate Wales, has managed to control his tendency to aggression. Today, he is also a therapist himself, helping others control their anger. He does this in group sessions at his home with the narcissistic Lacey, the constant weed and her obsessively admiring Nolan who can't get mad, Vietnam veteran Ed and the feminin gay fashion lover Patrick. Goodson also leads a similar support group in prison pro bono with inmates Wayne, Cleo and Ernesto. During the group discussions, Goodson also regularly talks about what he is experiencing in his own life. He is still in regular contact with his ex-wife Jennifer, who left him because of his many extramarital adventures during his time as a baseball pro. They are still warm to each other and are also jointly responsible for the upbringing of their joint teenage daughter Sam. Not enamored with Jennifer's new suitor Sean, Goodson keeps quiet about his own sexual escapades with his therapist Kate from her.
