Owari no Seraph plot

After the appearance of a mysterious virus that kills everyone over the age of thirteen, humanity is enslaved by previously hidden, power-hungry vampires. In exchange for donations of blood, the leeches promise to protect the remaining people. Among them are Yuichiro and Mikaela, who were in an orphanage with other children. Dissatisfied with being treated like cattle, they decide to escape. This fails and only Yuichiro gets away. He is found by the Imperial Japanese Demon Army, a military unit that wants to exterminate the vampires. Determined to take revenge on the creatures that slaughtered his family, Yuichiro joins them.
