Kaiju No. 8 plot

Large monsters have been appearing in Japan for years. The Defense Corps, an elite military unit, risks their lives every day to protect civilians. After killing such a monster, the scavengers are called in. 32-year-old Kafka Hibino is one of them and is completely fed up with his job. His dream is to help the Defense Corps. When one day he comes into contact with a parasite-like monster, Kafka gains new powers. In doing so, he tries to give his life's dream a last chance.
