Hunter x Hunter plot

Twelve-year-old Gon Freecss one day discovers that his father, who he had always heard was dead, is still alive. His father, Ging, is a "hunter" - a member of an elite club. Determined to follow in his father's footsteps, Gon decides to take the Hunter exam and eventually find his father to prove himself as a Hunter. But along the way, he discovers there's more to becoming a Hunter than he ever imagined, and the challenges he faces are considered some of the toughest in the world.
