Gargoyles plot

In Scotland, AD 994, Wyvern Castle is guarded by Gargoyles. Creatures that turn to stone by day and are fearsome warriors by night. Despite keeping the inhabitants of the castle safe, the Gargoyles are not respected or valued by them except by the captain of the guard who sees great value and honor in these creatures. After being betrayed by the only human they trusted, most of the Gargoyles are killed. The surviving Gargoyles are enchanted so that they remain petrified at night as well. In 1994, billionaire David Xanatos buys the castle and moves it to the top of his Manhattan skyscraper. With the castle above the clouds, the spell is broken and the Gargoyles come back to life in a world foreign to them.
