Disenchantment season 1

I've seen it all now and it was quite fun. I have very little experience with animated comedies like this. Sure, I've seen an episode of The Simpsons of South Park come along, but this is the first series in the genre that I've seen a full season of.

The humor is of the lame kind, but at times it is so dry that I had to laugh out loud. That one episode works better than the other. Especially towards the end people seem to want to focus more and more on the story. I agree with Esteban that episodes 5, 6 and 7 were the highlight for me. In my opinion, the series is at its best when set partly outside the castle. For me there is also the potential for next seasons. Including Hansel and Gretel I thought was a very witty move. More of that, please!

The animation is cool and the main trio is fun to follow. Elfo was my favorite character, but Luci is also spot on. The level was a bit too erratic for me across the board to really be a fan of it, but I'm definitely curious about the sequel. I want them to explore the rest of the realm further and include well-known fairy tales and legends.

3*
