Blue Period plot

Yatora Yaguchi is a high school student with excellent grades, but also unmotivated to find his true calling in life. Furthermore, he hangs out with his equally unambitious friends, which also gives him no satisfaction. Reflecting on his predicament, Yatora stumbles upon a painting by a classmate. Not quite sure what he thinks, Yatora starts painting herself, hoping that his thoughts will be transferred to the canvas. After earning praise for his work, Yatora embarks on his path to Tokyo's extremely competitive art university.
