Black Sails plot
The year is 1715, piracy in the Caribbean is entering a golden age. New Providence Island, a former British colony, is now a free haven without God or command, where notorious pirates hold sway. The most feared among them is Captain Flint. But the British Navy is about to strike back, and under those circumstances, we're getting to know other facets of the hard-hitting pirate. Driven by deep, complex and even romantic motives, Flint joins forces with the impressive Eleanor Guthrie, daughter of the local smuggling king. Together they forge a plan to win the ultimate prize and ensure the survival of their way of life. However, their opponents are not the least. There are the rival captains who envy Flint for his power. There is Eleanor's father, who has other plans for the island. And there's John Silver, a young sailor recently mustered and constantly trying to secretly take the wind out of his captain's sails.
