What a wonderfully refreshing series. With a completely different take on the superhero genre. It's rough, hard, bloody and violent.
Didn't know what to expect beforehand, but this series certainly entertained me.
Good story with a good build and great characters (especially nice to see Antony Starr again, because you don't see him that often since [url=https://www.tvmeter.nl/show/3]Banshee[/url ] has stopped).
Great mix of humor and action. A bit predictable at times, but still entertaining.
All in all, a great series that flew by.

Whoopi! What a rush! I'm still shaking from this series. The eight episodes of 'The Boys' flew by like an A-Train. Another look at the whole superhero thing (a big finger to the good intentions of Superman, Aquaman, Snake Eyes, The Flash ect ect). Good cast (Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon ect ect), excellent script, strong acting, exciting & at the same time gory, gory and again gory. I love it so much! Not to mention the countless one-liners. Some made me roll out of my nest laughing! I will look for a nice top 5 on the web and then post it in: favorite series quotes. Too bad season 1 is over. Actually I am speechless.
Very impressed with this craziness. Season 2 2020: nice!

Eric Kripke had already warned us about it and he didn't lie: the fourth season of The Boys is more woke than ever. This time, every character is a sexual deviant. Explicit gay sex scenes are alternated with nonsense, dirty talk and the occasional bit of action. In between, the pretentious Sister Sage treats the viewer to an unbearable intersectional sermon. It's actually unbearable. The diabolical The Seven are more than ever a symbol of MAGA America, so the unsuspecting viewer immediately gets some voting advice. The humor that made the first seasons digestible has almost disappeared here. If there is any laughter in season 4, it's like a farmer with a toothache. The Boys has degenerated into a tiresome and perverse soap opera: no thank you.
