The Acolyte (2024-2025)

I'm glad I just set it up despite the low numbers. Perhaps the worst series of the Star Wars series, but I still thought it was satisfactory. It's a bit tight, I must admit. I thought the beginning was very weak and not well acted and I was almost like, I understand why it gets a low grade. But as the series progresses I actually thought it got better and better. I don't like how mae is played and that green she hulk jedi doesn't make any sense either. But other than that I thought it was okay.

I was looking forward to the new series. Especially to Ashoka. I stopped after 2 episodes. I have a high-end home cinema at home and Ashoka, for example, was very good in terms of picture. The Acolyte, however, is a lot worse in terms of image quality. Lots of grain, relatively blurry image, no impact. I've tried to find out if other cameras may have been used but can't find it. Not even on IMDB.com. Too bad about all those efforts.

Disney continues to amaze me with their incompetence and carelessness. They have a gold mine, but still refuse to give ear to the most toxic fan base on earth. Perhaps also out of statement and stubbornness, who knows?

Well, this was again crying with the hat on. After years and many pleas, we finally got a different story than the Skywalker saga, and then actually told the exact same story as the Skywalker saga?! And then miraculously even create extra plot holes in the Skywalker saga, by introducing characters and force scenes that, according to the lore, are not possible at all in the previous films.

Really, how little energy do you put in as a writer to create yet another kind of chosen character/s, created by the force, just like Anakin Skywalker. Isn't this laziness of the highest degree? For that reason alone, this series and Disney's new universe has already failed again.

Apart from the fact that the acting is particularly substandard. The narrative is even more predictable than a Dora episode and dialogues that are almost as cringeworthy as those of George Lucas...

Is it all misery then? No, I found the bad Guy quite interesting and the choreography very strong. In that respect it does reach the choreography level of the prequels and that is certainly a plus. That's just where it ends.

I say: don't follow up on this either and try again Disney
