Ewan McGregor's dignified role as the title character is the main reason to watch this mixed six-part miniseries. The plot drifts in all directions and has too many bland characters and slack moments, which severely test the viewer's patience. Fortunately, the last two episodes are of level, so that the right Star Wars feeling can just be achieved. But it's borderline.

Unlike many other people, I'm going to say the following. I just found Reva's character interesting. Yes, she's black and if anyone likes to bash on wokeheid, it's me. Still, I liked her storyline. Intriguing and mysterious. Ambitious, but what or which role exactly, we have been guessing for a long time. That then leads to plot twists that I could appreciate. Ewan McGregor also did a great job as always. I've really become a fan of Ewan over the past two years by seeing some more of his film oeuvre (especially The Island and Big Fish). He may not be the prettiest in the class or the biggest muscle bundle that the female audience probably prefers, no he isn't but he's a beastly good actor. The series also feels very nostalgic. through the flashbacks but also through the fights. I like nostalgia and I think they do it well. Now I've been avoiding Star Wars for years so I'm not going to call myself a fan. But I think this looked even smoother than The Mandalorian, which I already thought was the best of Star Wars. Ok, the series and the latest films have more plot holes than the original films, they are entertaining and Kenobi certainly has the necessary tension, action and intrigue. Princes Leia is also quite endearing. On the one hand you sometimes want to give her a slap, on the other hand there is something stubborn about it. I would certainly have a sequel to this, I was immediately looking forward to it.

Good enough, you know. Surely there is something to note. But that is now the case with most films and series of Star Wars. I really enjoyed it. And it was nice to see Obi-wan like this. Nice to see young Luke, and young Leia. And of course the battle of Darth Vader and Obiwan. Yet another series that works towards part 4 of the films about Skywalkers. Could have been better. But definitely good enough
