Gli Uomini dal Passo Pesante plot

A Civil War soldier returns home. His old father, who owns a large tract of land in Texas, oversees his numerous sons with an iron fist. He cannot accept the loss of the Member States. Not all of his family shares the father's unfettered hatred for the Northerners, and some are finding it increasingly difficult to carry out his despotic orders. In the end, serious conflicts arise.

Watched this last night on an R1 Wild East DVD.
Although the film feels more like an American Western, incl. the lack of big close-ups of striking heads and a final duel with the main villain, this turned out to be a pretty good Spaghetti Western, full of more heightened tension and emotion towards the end.

The casting is especially successful with ex-Tarzan Scott in the lead role and Cotten as his father and villain taking the law into his own hands.
Also certainly a positive contribution is the presence of Nero (on opening titles and posters as Frank Nero) in an early role and son Mitchum, because for him not as wooden as in eg "Grand Canyon Massacre", he actually shows some emotion here and there.

Furthermore, we even see a beautifully filmed scene, in which hundreds of cows are driven on horseback, we forget that everything in terms of cow breeds is mixed up, a film with many cows is always a plus for me!

The final confrontation with the main villain cum father is perhaps somewhat disappointing, but it somehow suited the film.

I can only say that I enjoyed it, so let me be generous: an eight, or four stars.
