This is a surprisingly strong epic film about the last few years when Geronimo, and dozens of his Apache warriors, lived in freedom. Of all the Indian tribes they have lasted the longest. When the Americans conquered the areas of New Mexico and Arizona from the Mexicans in 1848, they came into contact, and with it, conflict with the Apaches. Geronimo was their last great leader and only definitively surrendered to the Americans in 1886. He was seen as a 'terrorist', and unfortunately also treated that way afterwards with his people. The film is quite truthful in general terms, but not entirely correct in terms of dates and events. That does not affect the quality of the film, which contains strong acting and perfectly captures the atmosphere of the period. The landscapes of the American Southwest are beautifully filmed. An absolute must for fans of this type of film. Don't expect a movie full of action, but a variety of it with an interesting storytelling. This TV movie also features a star cast.

It's not very special. The classic struggles, entanglements and disputes surrounding the American army and the Indians. Well-known scenes of this genre and finally the most interesting part of the film is the reflection of how the original inhabitants of a country were rounded up, what remained expelled from their own region, placed in reservations and punished at will.

Reasonable film about the battle between the American army and the Apache Indians. A piece of American history that is not presented too black and white here (both sides are well exposed). The characters didn't really captivate, despite the good cast. Furthermore, of course, plenty of beautiful pictures of Monument Valley, among others.
