Unknowns kill all the passengers of a money train and make off with the money chest with a contents of $100,000. The insurance company sends their agent Hutch Bessy (Bud Spencer) there to track down the culprits and the money. He suspects that outlaw Bill San Antonio and his gang are behind the train robbery. The problem is that he was shot dead the year before. Cat Stevens (Terence Hill) is believed to be responsible for the outlaw's death, but when Hutch finds out that Bill San Antonio may not be dead, he goes hunting for him, because along with Bill's corpse is the $300,000 his then gang had collected disappeared.
