Trapped plot
"When you're cornered like an animal, it's kill or be killed"
A group of college students go on vacation for a few days in the hills of Baker County, where a group of hillbillies also live nearby. Upon arrival, they immediately witness a murder: the leader of the hillbillies, together with a few companions, kills the man who was cheating with his wife. The students manage to get away, but are not allowed to call the police in the nearby hamlet, because everyone believes the man was murdered after a lawful people's court. The students flee again and go to the local police, but there too the sheriff proves anything but helpful.

During the horror challenge, while looking for a subgenre related to Backwoods / Rednecks / Hillbillies, I came across this thriller/horror that you often encounter in horror lists with this particular theme. Actually never heard of it before and I have to say that I really liked it. The theme is fun and the film is exciting until the end. There is a surprising amount of attention to other characters and their actions because the focus is not only on those 4 students. Also a few nice kills such as death by an antenna and the climax is also impressive. Henry Silva is perfectly cast as the leader of the Hillbillies. There is also some nudity seen in the opening scene and afterwards when Silva discovers his wife Amy (Danone Camden) is cheating. One of the students, Diana (Gina Dick), also finds herself in a precarious situation where she is briefly seen naked. Great movie! 7.5/10
