The Prophecy plot
"On ancient ground, at the edge of the world, an evil born in heaven is about to be unleashed on earth."
Some renegade angels, led by Gabriel, want to eliminate humanity and overthrow Heaven. LA cop Thomas Dagget (Elias Koteas), once on the brink of becoming a priest, discovers some wondrous details in a gruesome murder case that leave him wondering if the body found is indeed human... Gabriel's great rival Simon now appears on the scene and desperately tries to thwart his plans, but Gabriel ruthlessly moves towards his goal. When Thomas's investigation then takes him to Arizona, all roads lead to a diabolical confrontation between Angels, the dead, mortals and ultimately Satan himself...

A heap of nonsense in this childish fantasy world populated with renegade angels, Lucifer and the search for the soul of a cannibalistic soldier . Couldn't empathize with this. Acting pretty much below average across the board; luckily Walken still has his charisma. That this film had a number of sequels... that's just a Miracle of God...

Found the acting of Christopher Walken rather disappointing, while the rest of the cast
acted horribly. Apart from being messy, the film is also quite boring, while it is also
all looked very ugly. Actually an annoying film all in all, which didn't know me for a moment
to charm.

We thought it was a decent film, a bit balancing between acceptable and therefore worthwhile and the question, watch out? The further the film progressed the more we started to appreciate it and in the end we end up with an average rating of 7!
Acting by Christopher Walken is called disappointing by some, we had the opposite opinion. The cast in general was not cluttered and boring and the story got better and better as the movie went on.
Hence our 7.
