Broken people save broken people.
It remains difficult to keep a film interesting in one location. Yet Gyllenhaal manages to keep it interesting for a long time. But the plot cannot be called mysterious as the story becomes too predictable. Towards the end it therefore collapses and Gyllenhaal also fails to convince where it gets emotional. Perhaps the original is better, unfortunately I haven't seen this one. *2.5

The story is simple and as a viewer you expect a nice twist at the end, but unfortunately that does not happen, so that at the end you have the feeling that you have watched the film for nothing. You may have to approach it as drama beforehand to be less disappointed. Wrong choice of the makers. The beginning is quite fascinating, but once everything is clear, the cake is immediately gone. Furthermore, Gyllenhaal keeps the film going. Without him it would have been nothing. 2.5/3.0
