Very successful to all the negative reactions.

Really liked the chemistry between snipes and florentino.

Story was nice.

Certainly not bad, but not really good either. It hung on the same thing for too long which made it a bit boring.

Liberty might as well have run away when she wasn't handcuffed yet, because he needed her so shooting wouldn't be his plan anyway. And such a smart girl should be able to figure that out..

More films of this kind (someone who is stuck on the phone) have already been made, such as Cellular and Phone Booth. Two better films, by the way, where more action is played and the character is also more clearly captivated (literally and/or figuratively) on the phone. Liberty Stands Still is more of a film carried by the dialogue between Linda Fiorentino and Wesley Snipes. And that's not really exciting. Occasionally extra characters provide some refreshment, but they are too colorless to really distract the attention. As a viewer, you don't really care whether they get shot or not. Too bad, because a lot more can be done with this. A script without spices and a miscasting.
