"When a murder case is this shocking, which do you trust? Your emotions or your evidence?"
It is the story of the brutal murder of Page Forrester. Her husband Jack Forrester is suspected. Not surprising because Jack is the only heir and was present in the house at the time of the murder. Despite District Attorney Krasny's tenacity, his attorney Teddy Barnes persuades the jury to acquit him. But is he actually innocent?

Reasonable film in which a man is accused of murdering his wife. A fairly standard courtroom thriller with an entertaining story. The ending is a bit too easy and the relationship between the two main characters could have been worked out a bit better. Also due to the fine cast a small 3.0 stars.

Of course, things like this have been seen before with such an intrigue, and yet the film still manages to maintain the suspense: the court case, the (surprising or not) denouement.
Solid acting. Certainly from Glenn Close who, for example, beautifully portrays the doubts and disappointment that overtake her a few times.
Still worth seeing after more than 30 years, in any case.

Quite a nice film, especially because of the denouement. The mutual struggle between the prosecutor and the lawyer could have been a model for the later film Primal Fear (1996), although the professions of the lady and gentleman were reversed in this film. I did not think the casting of Glenn Close was right. Despite her excellent acting, I did not think she fit the role. Otherwise, it is worth watching.
