In the hunt for two police killers, a discredited police officer discovers a large-scale conspiracy involving his colleagues. Bad Boseman.
For those who don't feel like using their brain and don't ask too many questions, 21 Bridges is a nice pastime. That is all, because after an excellent start, in which two criminals ambushed other criminals, the fun is quickly over. And that's strange because only then does acting cannon JK Simmons come up, who, like the rest of the cast, walks around somewhat lost. Leading character Chadwick Boseman is extremely popular in Hollywood thanks to his Marvel adventures, but does not really know how to carry the film. As a failed bad cop, he too is caught up in the weak script.
You could say futility, isn't it popcorn entertainment? But therein lies the crux; the movie takes itself too seriously. Besides the title - which also barely lasts because the closure of all bridges doesn't matter anymore after a few minutes - it is unfortunately also the cliché story that pinches thanks to frantic attempts not to be. That's how you shoot yourself in the foot. And that's a shame, especially with these actors. Keith David has an extra role. The attempts at suspense in the final piece are also seriously lacking and nowhere near the promising opening.

Excellent action film in which two robbers are caught in the act and cause an immense bloodbath.
They can flee, but all of Manhattan is completely closed off by closing the 21 bridges, making no escape to the outside possible. Beautiful shots of the city of New York and the pace is high. There is a lot to experience where the action scenes look clear and cool. The story is full of conspiracies, but they do not really surprise. But don't worry, the film does what it's supposed to do and that's entertain. The cast is fine and the nighttime environment of New York is beautifully portrayed.

Smoothly made police thriller, especially in the first half with some excellent action scenes and expertly built tension. Towards the end it all becomes a bit more predictable and standard, although the film fortunately remains above average. There is little to criticize about the cast: Chadwick Boseman does a great job in the lead role and he sees himself surrounded by a group of decent actors. Sienna Miller does come off a bit scruffy; the role of a seasoned narcotics agent does not suit the ex-model.
