An independent lo-fi science fiction film with a corresponding mini budget. But despite the fact that the lack of a lot of money is absolutely visible, it does not bother anywhere. In fact, the fact that the makers had to be creative with the costs results in a fantastic and original setting. No hypermodern high-tech weapons and spaceships, but dirty and half-damaged stuff in 80s style. In addition, the fairly slow story is captivating from start to finish, and the young Sophie Thatcher shows that she has a lot to offer. This sympathetic post-apocalyptic-retro-science fiction-western is certainly not for everyone. But for film viewers who do not only focus on blockbusters, it is certainly worth a try.

A low budget film but not bad at all, so you see that you don't need a lot of money to make a nice film. We don't get to see spectacular cgi/sfx but the story is entertaining enough and the cast doesn't play bad either. I can't call it a top film but it certainly deserves a pass. I didn't get bored anyway.

The film has a lot of potential but has a hard time realizing it. It missed the 'point' of the film a bit. Father and Daughter crash on a moon, father is murdered, daughter cooperates with the murderer after much deliberation and together they return. A plot that you can still fit on a beer mat.

Now that doesn't have to be bad if the planet/moon itself is nicely designed, but although the film itself looks quite neat visually, the rest is rather disappointing in that area. It could just as well have been set in the Amazon or something like that. Here and there certainly some nice finds, for the rest mainly a lot of ideas that you have seen better developed in similar films. For example, that entire indigenous tribe is also portrayed so weakly.

It all goes by quite smoothly and the somewhat adventurous nature of the film suits me. But otherwise a bit too thin. Budget will also be a factor. 2.5*.
