Man impregnates himself as a woman with himself as a child to kidnap himself as a baby by himself as an older man. Add the whole time travel thing and you are busy to understand a few things, but the whole feels way too much like a gimmick instead of a real brain teaser, and at the end the viewer is left not so much confused as disappointed. Very special transition from the first half (a very good story) to the second (weaker and weaker with all those twists and turns). Snook steals the show with a beautiful role.

This is a pretty confusing mind fuck. But in a fun way with a limited number of characters! The whole plot is (certainly in the beginning) quietly explained with strong acting by Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook. At the end you have to read how and what , but it is not that complicated.

Good acting, good atmosphere and quite surprising ending.

I was drawn into the story, especially in the first half of the film. For me, SF is mainly about the emotions of the people and the dilemmas and this film certainly makes you think. The ending was almost a disappointment as I would have liked to see the loop break and the protagonist find happiness, something I don't really know about. What you can still think about is the role of the agency, for that part you have to see the film again. The fact that time travel has paradoxes that cannot really be explained logically did not bother me. Everything seems to make sense in this story. I did not miss the action, the film is fascinating to me because of the themes such as loneliness, disappointment and love that have touched me.

For me a successful film that I give a 4.5.
