Psychic caver becomes unwell during live TV broadcast.
It looks like Summer Guests!!!
Doesn't stop us from diving back into the cave and taking with us a strange stone that we found at the local gas station.
The title already refers to Alien....so yaks we brought something extraterrestrial.
And these aliens don't go for the stomach area, but for the face.
Classic gore scenes, but in terms of plot and tension it remains a bit poor.
But again: classic gore and reasonably well lit.....not played out full-out unfortunately.
And how on earth do you have a movie end playing in a cave at the bowling alley????
Brilliant piece of sudden writing again!

I thought it was pretty gross at the time and enjoyed the nice setting. Took a while to find it again and it remains a bizarre, nice, atmospheric, gross film, at times even more my thing than the popular Alien series.

Messy, chaotic and often incomprehensible film that is an unofficial sequel to the science fiction classic from 1979. This makes Alien 2 - Sulla Terra almost a kind of Asylum film from the 80s, which hopes to cash in on the successful source material as quickly as possible under false pretenses. Director Ciro Ippolito offers an atmospheric setting and some particularly clumsy gore moments, but that hardly compensates for his illogical direction. Loud soundtrack sequences are sometimes cut off out of nowhere, the supernatural concepts are randomly incorporated into the film and the first half hour in particular hangs together structurally like loose sand. Towards the finale, the environment makes a sudden switch from cave to bowling alley and that reveals that Ippolito himself did not seem to care at all how this film would be received. It's nice that James Cameron came up with a worthy (and official) sequel 6 years later to quickly wash away the aftertaste of this pulp film.
