I don't really know what to think of this movie. The concept is good, but I don't like the way it is presented. The film should have had more SF, it is now too realistic in some areas. That's why the movie didn't come across to me. I have not thought of any animal; This has been a human. By showing a transformation, you step into the story more easily. Apart from some comical and uncomfortable scenes, the film has not taken over for me.
Unfortunately, I see a lot of missed opportunities.

The extended Jiskefet sketch is primarily an interesting exercise full of 'social criticism'. With the help of appallingly bland humor and supposedly motley characters, the story is told of a strange newcomer bachelor who has to look for a soulmate before turning into a lobster. TATATA. TATATA. Lanthimos himself finds this complicated, so only one voice-over is used to fill the film with gibberish. Heavenly slowness and stupid twists: a completely failed attempt to make an absurdist masterpiece.
