Decoder plot
"Information is like a bank. Our job is to rob the bank."
A company launches a new product called Muzak, an artificial product that decodes music. Musicians and marketing experts see a lot of money in it and try to get their hands on the decoder. What nobody knows, however, is that people who listen to Muzak for a long time become more and more violent and also become possessed with greed.

Difficult. Not a full-blooded horror, by the way, despite the label on IMDB. More of an experimental psychological thriller with a great setting. We are in the 70s or 80s in the former GDR where people walk in the line of the Stasi party. The people are docile and do what is expected of them. Here and there a few individuals who want to break the system, but without organized or large-scale action not much happens.
Music is central. Music makes people calm or ... rebellious. I didn't think much of it. Visually it is worth it with the alternating use of color in red, green and blue tones. Great sound too. The framework makes up for a lot where the plot goes wrong. But horror, well, not that either.
