"If you go to only one concert this year... the Prince movie is the one!"
Following the release of the album Sign 'o' the Times, Prince is going on a concert tour through Europe. Ahoy's performance in Rotterdam, where he plays 11 songs from the album, is recorded with the idea of boosting the disappointing sales in America by releasing the whole as a concert film. The existing recordings are complemented by a performance at his own Paisley Park Studio and interspersed with a fictional drama story about the troubled relationship of Sheena Easton and Wally Safford, which gets a boost when Prince introduces himself as an extra lover to the couple.

A bit strange to vote for this, because it is really for 90% a live concert experience and not a movie. But what a show, that struck me. I have never seen a performance that came even close to this I think.
