The Possession at Gladstone Manor plot

"Jamie Black looks into her mom's vanishing at Gladstone Manor by taking the same job. She finds clues about others missing and confronts otherworldly evil forces, suggesting her mother's disappearance is part of a larger sinister mystery."

When Jamie Black discovers her mother has disappeared, she wants to investigate the case further. So she applies for the job her mother had at Gladstone Manor. Jamie soon discovers that several people have disappeared and that sinister forces from another world may know more. Desperate Jamie enlists the help of her two brothers and the fiancé of one of them. They are professional criminals and used to be in the Navy.
