The Fly plot
"Be afraid. Be very afraid."
Seth Brundle, a brilliant but eccentric scientist, gives journalist Veronica Quaife the first for his latest invention: a teleporter, which can move matter from one place to another. When he teleports himself, however, a fly just flies into his capsule. After this, Brundle is no longer the same, and he gets more and more properties from the fly.

The technology in this film isn't very convincing yet, but the idea - you slowly turn into a human fly, giving you superhuman powers but also become a different life form - is interesting and horrifying at the same time (a bit like Frankenstein's monster is too) . The story created around this strong idea is not very original or deep but always captivating and amusing.
