The Eye plot
"How can you believe your eyes when they're not yours?"
A girl has been blind since she was five. After a cornea transplant, her vision is gradually restored. Very blurry at first, but then getting sharper. With the recovery, however, it becomes clear that not everything she sees is really there. Mysterious shadows appear that no one else can see. She turns to the psychiatrist who helped her transition to the seeing world for help, and together they set out to find a solution to this phenomenon.

A weak film that never gets exciting or scary, but it is boring and predictable. The film is reminiscent of other films, especially The Grudge, only this is a poor version. Also very unoriginal in terms of build-up and scares and by the climax all tension is actually gone.

Just watched the movie and it was disappointing.
Because I am somewhat medically informed, the following is immediately apparent: If you speak of a cornea transplant, that is not a complete eyeball transplant, something the film does suggest. In addition to some good scares, other images of 'reducers' seem very clumsy. A thriller for people with mild nerves and a 'don't fall asleep film' for others

Great horror film that mainly relies on Jessica Alba's game and the solid story, which only really gets going at the end. It's all very atmospheric and visually it all looks good, but the tension is a bit lacking. In the end, that is made up for, and Alba's game keeps it interesting to watch.
