Truly an underrated horror movie. Very good story, original concept, acting was also decent despite the young actors. Also some humor here and there. I didn't know the director(s) but I'm curious to see what else they have made because this leaves me wanting more. The monsters were also really well made, didn't look low budget. The ending wasn't too predictable either. Also a horror film where you are not too bothered by the decisions the characters make. How Haley (Harriet Slater) explains the tarot cards is crazy, but apparently she is an expert at it. Some nice examples of her thinking here and there. Sometimes also a successful jump scare. There was someone behind me in the room who stomped on their chair in anticipation.

Entertaining and above all very simple horror film that draws all its power from the concept. The idea of haunted cards and various threats is nicely developed, but everything that has to link everything together is designed messily. Directing duo Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg waste little time on the introduction and don't even bother developing a character. Although I liked that little time was spent on all kinds of delaying nonsense, it seemed as if the makers wanted to say more than what was ultimately achieved. To a certain extent, drama is mixed into the whole and this of course does not come out optimally with this rather hasty elaboration. The build-up of tension seems restless and the scares have little effect even on the big screen, but I had a good time and the cast members do their best with the limited material at their disposal.

There are mountains of films like this, cheap horror that is not interesting at all, good for a few who are quickly satisfied, most people thought this was bad, including me. Is a genre with the most bad films...
