"It's not the house that's hounted... (and then the denouement!) it's your son! (dada dummm!)"

Decent horror film with good acting. Again some annoying and obligatory jumpscares. And the ghosthunters are indeed rather funny. I think the moment when the father enters the spirit world without realizing it and thinks it's not working is well done. Also a surprising ending!

“It's not the house that is haunted. It's your son.”

Great horror movie. James Wan knows how to ramp up the tension, and with a creaky old house, a creepy kid, strange creatures and a dripping tap, you can never go wrong. A bit cliche, but it works. Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson are also excellent, and especially when Lin Shaye comes in, all the brakes are released. Insidious also has a perfect ending, and it really completes the movie for me.
