Carl plot

While Mike and Lisa Ingram enjoy a romantic weekend away, they unknowingly attract the attention of Carl, whose values and family traditions will change their lives forever. Soon after returning from their trip, Mike's life is torn apart when Lisa disappears from their home. She is locked up and chained in the house of a family where Mom's word is law and any disobedience can have deadly consequences. Carl soon reveals his intentions with Lisa. To survive, Lisa must show Carl that she loves him, but she hopes this nightmare will soon be over. Mike, meanwhile, has given up all hope of seeing his wife again. To relive their last happy moments, he returns to the town where they last stayed. And there he ends up in the world of Carl and his 'mom'...
