I didn't think it was a bad film, maybe not a great one, but not bad either. The film should also not have big scares, more a psychological thriller.

Tonight again some of the pile of "stock of cheaply purchased DVDs in case TV and internet go down and we get snowed in for a few months".
Those are generally films that we don't expect much from, but this Godsend was not that bad.
Entertaining film in which parents have their deceased son cloned for a while by prof Robert De Niro .... and that goes very well for a while, but after about eight years some strange things start to happen.
There are some things in the plot that seem a bit illogical or coincidental to me, but that's no problem with a popcorn movie.
I have to admit that I really have no idea what the director means by this at the end (is De Niro in that closet and did he just deliver another clone?)[/spoiler ].

Godsend is actually a film with enough potential, but it can't really live up to it anywhere. The twist was too simple for me and the elaboration often long-winded. Could have been much better with a little extra attention.
