Joulutarina plot

Story about the origin of Santa Claus. Hundreds of years ago in Lapland there lived a boy named Nikolas, whose parents died in an accident. The villagers took the boy under their care and cared for him, Nikolas moved from family to family. When he gets older, Nikolas decides to make gifts for the children of the host families, as a token of thanks. Over the years, these become more and more families, who find presents on their doorstep every Christmas.

Nice idea and well processed as a Christmas film.

Well acted and very beautiful snowy landscapes and old atmosphere.

Only ending is a question mark.

Nice Christmas movie. I really liked how they wanted to give Santa Claus and his origins a realistic history, every detail has been thought of, even why he wears a red suit, uses a sack and a sleigh and has so many reindeer. It even explains why parents help Santa Claus and sometimes wrap the presents for the children themselves. A very sympathetic family/youth film. 3.5*

Original variant about the origin of the Christmas party. It is a pity that after a nice start the film starts to lose steam towards the end. The enchanting winter images provide some compensation. Beautiful poster.
