Rodney Alcala was one of many serial killers with an incredibly horrible story. Sorry there is absolutely not enough done with this fact. Bland, lukewarm uninspired film....

Good film about a woman in Hollywood who wants to make it as an actress and participates in a dating show. An unusual film about a serial killer. The structure works well, but the film feels a bit unfinished. Sometimes exciting and a good role by Daniel Zovatto. Not a bad directorial debut by Anna Kendrick, but it could have been a bit more. A narrow 3.5 stars.

Exciting, inventively structured thriller about actress Cheryl Bradshaw (Anna Kendrick), who takes part in the television program The Dating Game in the 70s. Behind one of the candidates lurks a serial killer. This bizarre fact turns out to be based on true events. Kendrick also directs here and does so with good merit. She is good at capturing uncomfortable moments and the period is nicely captured. Also clever how she manages to create an uncomfortable atmosphere without violence and atrocities.
