Although you can see those last twists coming from miles away (some of them you can draw out, you also know that there are always some in these kinds of films) this turned out to be quite a nice film, especially because there are some interesting ideas around technology are brought. Sometimes more fiction than science, but certainly credible enough within the context. Well acted, nice and short and nice visual design although it lacks its own face. 3.5*.

Black mirror is a series that I like. Just finished the second season with this White Christmas although it has nothing to do with Christmas at all. Also not a happy film at all, but again that typical Black mirror atmosphere in which technology threatens to be more of a curse than a blessing for mankind.

This White Christmas contains a fascinating point of view, which started to look a bit like a movie with its running time. The stories of both men were fascinating and the idea of blocking had something. All rather drastic and unconditionally creepy what Joe experiences. In terms of punishment, it can count when a kind of stigma hangs over you and that for both Joe and Matt. Certainly an obvious twist towards the end, but that does not alter the fact that I watched intrigued. This is partly due to the reasonably good acting performances and good dialogues.

Correct!

By far the best Black Mirror episode to date. I had my doubts beforehand because I thought 73 minutes was a long time for a Black Mirror episode, but I only found out later that it was a special for Christmas at the time.

And beyond that, it's just a really strong episode in the series. This episode just has what some other episodes don't have. This episode is still very disturbing without using violence and without using scary images.

Acting isn't particularly memorable, but it just suffices here. It's not like the other episodes feature great acting, so this one isn't an exception either. But it does satisfy the film itself and does not detract from the experience.

The episode should have been a bit longer, but I thought it was fantastic. Packed several great ideas into 1 episode and still managed to bring them together so brilliantly. It's just great writing and directing. Notabene from the same director who in my opinion also directed the worst Black Mirror (so far) episode.

The stories are captivating, dark and interesting. I thought the "cookie" in particular was brilliantly conceived. Far-fetched, of course, but oh so well thought out. The whole process of such an "installation" quickly makes me as a viewer think that suicide seems to be the only option in the end.

For the rest it is smooth, the film looks neat and is fascinating. The writing is phenomenal and the direction is gripping. Thought it was a great episode. Too bad he was over at some point.
