Good film about a photographer from conflict areas who lives for her work, but also has a family. Realistically portrayed, although the actions of the main characters are not always (despite a good role by Juliette Binoche). Some strong scenes including the opening scene.

A mother risks her life as a photographer to take pictures in a war zone. Her husband and children obviously have great difficulty with that. And that's what the movie is about. Actually, it is mainly a film about a difficult marital relationship with a lot of distractions to camouflage the real subject of the film. And that's what bothers me the most. I know better relationship films, which go a lot deeper and where you can empathize with the main character. When finally the plot twist comes, which is actually not a plot twist, the film really collapses for me and I almost regret that I finished watching this film. Although the acting is excellent and there are also beautiful and special pictures in the film. But yes, Erik Poppe has a reputation to uphold.
